Even though this is no longer running I did this last year to see how it would go. Was quite an expensive electric bill with are country not having the best of weather. The fish did love it though and if i could have this in doors on a slightly smaller scale i would do it again. :)

Sounds very unique to me for our country. Well worth sharing!

i think its a great idear =] lol how much did it cost to heat? must of been alot?...where are you in the world?

if it did it id get millions of neon terta lol imagine it =]

Thought i commented on this, guess i didn't click post :shout:.

It looks epic, i'd love something like that but like you said - the bill puts me right off.

Yeah it was quite expensive. Neons would look ace you could have about a 200 in there lol it was a 550G pond. If i had the space in doors i would do it.

that's a shame, I would LOVE to have one! How did you do it? what did you have in it?

what country you in? just wandering cos of climate

UK. I used a pond heater to heat it filled it with rocks, sand and was filtered by a pond system. Malawi cichlids where in there for a good few month's, they loved it. With a few of the fish been wilds they showed a lot of natural character was awesome. Just like looking after 550G tank basically. :good:
