Hey guys, well tomorow im probably going to get my first 5kgs/13lbs of LR for my nano.

I was just wondering,
How do you transport it?
Does it need to be in water?Do you just take it in a box?
etc etc

All experiences/guidance is appreciated, i just want to be ready for it.

Thanks

DD

I usually use a Polystyrene Box with no water - if you can wrap it in Tank wet newspaper that is better but not really a must

:D :D

How long will it be out of the water

3 or 4 minutes at the most
Thanks

I wouldnt concern yourself then

I would just put it in a box, more to save the car getting wet & then just add to the tank

:D

Thats good then, have alot of boxes lying around :D

Thanks again for the help

Nothing....there should be no significant loss if it's only out that long. Most lfs' should pack it up nicely for you either in buckets or wrapped in moist paper. Smaller portions are bagged in SW. SH

That's cool then :D

5kgs/13 pounds isn't that much so the only worries i have now are hitch hikers/diotam blooms/Aptasia and Majanoe.

I will add proggress to my nano diary.

As I had about an hours drive, when I transported my LR, and then it had to wait for me to set up the tank, I transported it in a plastic container, on wheels to make transport easy, covered in as much water as i could lift, covered in moist newspaper. Newspaper might no be the best 'paper' to use, so if you can get some clean plain paper well and good.

Thanks for the tips Miagi :)

I'm deff. getting the LR in a few hours :D

Just to say:

When i got the LR, The friendly employee there wrapped it all in SW soaked paper and put it in a styrofoam box that the shop gets orders in :D
