The first meet was at the Big Al's on Kennedy. I'm not really a fan of the Big Al's on Steels, no offence or anything. I've been there a few times and I was left with more questions then answers after I left. The staff members I talked to didn't seem to be that knowledgeable. I'm not sure who you are, or if you were there, so please don't take offence to any of that. :) I'm just an honest person.

I'm up for Swiss Chalet, but then again it doesn't really matter to me.

Could the people who are coming please send me a PM to get my cell number from me (excluding those of you who’ve I’ve already met). There was some confusion last time with the meeting so I’m trying to avoid that from happening again. If anybody from the last meet wants to offer out their cell number in a PM please feel free to say so, that way more of us can be contacted. :)

NO offence taken JDH..... :D ...I'm not going to say that I know everything there is to know about fishkeeping, but some of our staff are high school students that are working there to earn some money and not really a hobbist, but I can tell you that all are staff are trying their best to give good service and advice, and not just sell fish.....If you come to our store most staff including me will ask you about your tank size, what fish do you keep and etc....before I tell them what they could get, but then again there are people who ignores all the advice you gave them and there's nothing you could do to stop them from getting what they want.....BTW we actually have a bigger fishroom than the one of kennedy so more eye candy i would say.......

I would sooo love to come. I live about 35 minutes away, but unfortunately i work until 4pm on the 22nd. I work every other weekend, so it's kinda hit or miss with me.

Too bad. it sounds like fun.

p.s. I had no idea that there were this many people on here in my area that are about the same age as me. I always get the impression that people around here are younger (low teens). Don't ask me why though.

Hmmm... I hope people will be there. I heard that there's supposed to be 20cm of snow, so if that happens then the meet is off.

what you said about the snow....good idea.
They're expecting 5-10 cm of snow which isn't that much really, temp of -13°C but with wind chill feels like -26°C.
ugh!

ah hates shovelling
an ah specally hates shovelling when it's dang cold!

I'll pm you my phone #, guess we'll just have to see what happens and stay in touch.

No snow yet! Hubby and I are still planning on going even if others can't make it as we really want to see the new store! Not sure how long we can stay around afterwards at Swiss Chalet though as we're hoping to get to IKEA too before closing time.

Hope to see some of you there!
