Today's a new day.

It's Wednesday. I'm going to contact the Canning Vale LFS later today. Will feed the tetras. I fed them yesterday, and other earlier days, and every day. I will do a water change this Saturday. I'm at a planning process before I go to a paludarium workshop there and write a journal once the workshop's complete. I will hopefully place the paludarium either in the same area as the 41L or in my home-made 70cm cube bedside table although it has a slightly shorter leg than the other 3. Made the bedside table in woodwork at school years ago and has a dragon carving on the table. I need a levelling mat at the bottom of the paludarium, that will be part of the planning process too.

Even though I struggle to look after vegetables nowadays and the jar terrarium, I just hope houseplants and marsh plants will do better in a paludarium than in a jar. I better need to do more research on the care of houseplants and what plants need misting.

Paludarium, riparium are pretty much the same thing.

Get Hygrophila and Echinodorus species of plants for the paludarium. Make sure they get plenty of light otherwise no plants will grow.

Oh, okay. I was talking about partially blind fish, not completely blind fish. I understand that.
A good friend of mine has a partially blind betta, and she's found ways to cope with his vision loss. She finds that more pungent foods that float a little longer work best for him, although he will occasionally try to hunt (with a decent success rate, surprisingly).

I will post screenshots from the video. I found an Aquarium Info video that caught my eye. It is a massive build, it does fit an axolotl neatly. Is the build a paludarium or a riparium? I'm saying this because the poster hasn't mentioned what type of build it was in the video. It's essential to do research before building any of these two, but she did pretty well with the build. There are massive tree trunks as the hardscape. The subtitles of the video at one point block the axolotl except for the tail, meaning the axolotl was in the tank when she put them in.

Today's Thursday. I felt stupid posting a video about a build containing an axolotl yesterday. But I understand the risks of doing so in the forum. Hi @CaptainBarnicles and mods, I was just curious about the build that was large enough for a single axolotl and the tank was 6 feet in length. Let me try again, shall I?

Mods, do you have any opinions on this build? Did I change my behaviour appropriately compared to yesterday?View attachment 338625

Holy smokes, that is a very large build. Given how high the waterline is, I would say riparium. There's minimal land, and I don't even see enough room for an animal to crawl up there.

Today's Thursday. Much calmer than yesterday. Sometimes life doesn't always go at the right direction. I am doing some sketches about paludarium designs I might do in the workshop. It's the small changes that have a massive impact. The LFS hasn't confirmed if there are anymore paludarium classes after 4 April yet. I hope that the things will change over time and research is equally essential for me. I don't want to embarrass myself, however, I'm usually shy. I just hope there are a lot of 60cm paludariums stocked for the future workshops. I will be going to one sometime in April but the date hasn't confirmed for future workshops after 4 April. In improving my behaviour, I sometimes struggle to change, but I'll eventually get there.

I just get bored sometimes and I want to check out the world I live in. Even though I try my best, there are times I struggle in some things. Exercise is good, but I don't do it very often. Time to do some sketching. :) I have new stuff I wish I did. At Good Sammy Fremantle (my workplace), I found this nice $10 jar with a tap on it. It's 36cm high by 20cm long. What should I do with it other than liquid storage?

What aquatic plants are suitable for the paludarium (except very big ones)? I'm only looking for very small ones that fits in the 14cm water height of the 60 x 35cm paludarium.

I guess it's training season. Training my mind to become a good person. I remember the things I do, such as feed the tetras, water changes and other stuff. My mind is very different compared to other people. I seem to do it a lot. Even though things are different, I want to train myself on being a good person. It's time.

Just waiting patiently on the upcoming paludarium workshops. I will have a chat about the stuff I like. Today's different and I am being calm. I understand that most people don't know the other -ariums, except terrariums, and it can feel different sometimes. The thing about my own hobbies is that I like doing them and doing some inspiration.

All teenagers do that (the highlighted stuff)

Take your dogs for a walk around the lake each day. You will be able to see different things, get some exercise, and give the dogs a chance to go run around. It's a win win for everyone. :)

You can make a paludarium or riparium out of your spare tank.

Hmm, I wish I have a 10L myself, but it's my younger sister's former tank. And it has a teeny tiny crack on the bottom left side that I can barely see.

It's Friday. Sometimes I struggle at times. The tetras are doing okay currently. Will do a water change tomorrow. What fish (other than a betta) can fit the a 29L water level of a 60 x 35cm paludarium? I'm choosing between Betta splendens, Boraras merah/brigittae and Microdevario kubotai. I fear that the water height (14cm) is too small for these fish and they may jump out of the paludarium tank. Do I have to be cautious when putting micro-rasboras in the tank?

Now, @Colin_T, other than the plants you mentioned for the paludarium, is Cryptocoryne parva and Lemna minor suitable for the setup? Also, how can I make my paludarium more attractive (other than the waterfall, misting system, etc)?
