Time To Start Afresh (Update With Pics 20/10)

your java fern needs tying/gluing to the wood or the coconut caves Craig - the rhizome (the long bit that the leaves and roots grow off) will rot if it is buried under the substrate. You can use cotton thread, or fishing line, or cyanoacrylate (superglue or nail glue) to attach it :good:

As for ferts dosing, choose a time when you're usually in every day.

Oh right I best attach them thanks Caz didn't really want to have more bits of wood but oh well as for the ferts I've set a reminder on my phone for 9:50 at night lol

well you could attach them to the bits you already have? In clumps tends to work better and look more natural :good:

And good idea on the phone reminder; I have to do that too  I'm useless at remembering otherwise!

So on Caz's advice I've attached the java fern to some pieces of mopani wood and moved the centre piece to the left. I'm now thinking of getting some mesh and alot of moss to go round the java fern at the front of the tank and get some shrimp :)
