Tiger Barbs w/Gouramis or Rams?

I'm really interested in getting Tiger Barbs for my US 30 gallon tank. I was thinking of getting 6 of them. Right now i have 4 Zebra Danios to cycle with. I want to eventually add a larger colorful fish such as a couple of Dwarf Gouramis or a pair of Rams. Would Tiger Barbs be good tank mates with these fish? Thanks.

some ppl have said that barbs will nip the gouramis fins.

Yes, they will nip the gouramis fins - gouramis are slower moving fish, and those dangly feelers are just too hard for a tiger to resist.

Rams probably wouldn't work with tigers either, they can be quite shy and are very sensitive. If they are being bullied too badly, they could die from the stress.
