Marbles was dead when i got up this morning as well as Magenta and Mello is going over.


Emerhald is still there but he is struggling.

Burnt magenta's til by leaving the table lamp on over night with the wron wattage bulb in it.
magenta developed fin rot and cotton woll overnight and spread to evryone as they are in teh barrcaks.

never going to use them again.

i have now bought lots 3 3ltr bll jar from teh £1 store nad i am only going to use them.

Libby has not been affected thank god.

if he had caught it then i don't know what i would do.

I'm with ya bro, I lost 20 fishes to fin rot and mouth rot in less than 5 days, inc 4 bettas!. I still have half of the fishes I had before and seem to be doing well under medication.

Another Casualty has been claimed by the dreaded Rot.

Have battled to save Libby over the past few days.

But alas he has Passed On.

May Never Be Lucky Enough to find another Libby Giant Again, This was A Major Fluke.

I will Take A Pix of him B4 He goes in the Loo.

Yo may Not see his colors in the pix properly. But his colors were amazing.

Light Green and Blue Body with Yellow Stripes.

Fins were coming out Blue and Maroon. His tail was Maroon aswell.

OH Well, there may be another one lurking around somewhere. Will just have to hunt for him.

Found A Tiny Plakat male, May get Him.

the pearl and blue feamles have been taken this morning.

i am not sure it is rot anymore.

Is there a Rot that will only affect bettas, I have been using the Betta stuff from Shirleys. I explained what was happening and they Gave me MellaFix. And some others to use.


as they are going white then rusty and there fins look as if they have been cooked.
they look like a bee hive, all honeycombed.

I My not get another Betta for a while.
This has put me off them for a while.

will wait for everything to settle down.

Its strange that no other fish have been affected. Not even the Delicate Neons or BumbleBees.

Ohh I can't find the Maroon DRCT either, she may have died behind the caves, will check later.

So sorry for your loss. People look at me kinda strange when I get upset when one of my fish die. I don't care. You do get attached and it does hurt. I'm sorry your hurting from this unfortunate incident.

Wouldn't go and not enjoy the company of a good betta though. Just wash everything out very good, and perhaps you can make some new friends.

Again, I lament your loss.
