Their Spawning!

I just went into the kitchen and checked my bettas and they are doing the dirty!!!!! Its so pretty you guys!!!! I would take piccys but I dont want to bother them..... This is so exciting! This is my first betta spawn... (haven't had a set up to be able to do it until recently) YAY!!! They are both crowntails.. the male is red and green and the female is white and red.

Thanks Yeah its been about 3 days that they've been in there. I was starting to think nothing was going to happen! Glimmer mostly concentrated on his nest and hardly chased Ruby at all. They've been going at it for about 1.5 hours now. I got a pic, but its not great. My camera pics up any little movement of your hand when the flash is off and I was trying not to disturb them. The picture was taken right as Ruby was flipping upsidedown and they were 'hugging'

congrats!! That's awesome! And wow, nice bubblenest he has there. I have a spawn in progress as well, no eggs yet though, but they're trying. My guys bubblenest isn't nearly as impressive though.

Thanks and Congrats to you too! Yeah it took 3 days for him to get her to even come look at it so hes been working hard lol. He filled the ENTIRE underneath of that cup with bubbles and they are spreading out the sides too lol. They have to come out from under to get air lol

ok so shes dropped a few eggs already.. and hes gone down and picked them up, but I haven't seen him spit them into the nest He wont eat them will he? She hasn't gone down at all.

wow congrats! don't worry it usually takes them quite a few "hugs" to get any good eggs to come out the male will eat the ones that are unfertilized, and they can pick up quite a few before spitting them back out inot the nest! sometimes the female will help, and sometimes she won't most of my spawns the females would the ones to pick up teh eggs, and then halfway throught eh male will join in aand help

congrats again! you must be super excited hope he's a good daddy!!!

Thanks Yeah shes dropped a lot now. He keeps going down but I dont see him spitting them out in the nest yet. Shes still plump. She doesn't drop with every 'hug'. She did come down this last time and look, but either he got them all already or she didn't drop cause she was already down when I walked over. (I can see the tank from the puter) Gosh its sooo pretty! I am excited.

If you guys remember, I was posting about Glimmer and the 'stroke' not too long ago. Well I can honestly say I think hes happy now!!!!!!

wow!! excellent pictures dont' owrry if dad or mom etas a few, its' totally normal hope ur not bugging them too much, they enjoy prviacy too
