The Uk And The Usa...

Some beers are good too, Harp being my favorite Brit Brew.

The problem in the US is finding a Brit beer that is 'kept' properly.
They taste completely different to how they should. (i.e awful)

Best thing about the US
weather:you actually have a difference between the Summer & Winter
Sandwiches-Man.you people like a big sandwich

Yeah, we do HUGE drinks too. Where else can you get 32 ounce drinks for less than 2 bucks?

The USA has so many great things about it.
Hershey chocolate (Hershey, PA. is close to my house)

Well, if you like chocolate that smells faintly of sick and has a cheese-like aftertaste...

Hey Hershey is the best US chocolate out there, but its still miles away from the genius of Milka or Kinder or Rittersport

Milka & Rittersport are German, whilst Kinder (although having a German name) is Italian (made by Ferrero).

Now being something of a chocoholic, I can tell you quite categorically that Milka is lovely, but it's trying to be Cadbury, and just can't quite make it. Kinder is just pants. Guylian (Belgian) is awesome, particularly the seahorse pralines. Galaxy (British) is also gorgeous, but perhaps a bit too milky.

And (fanfares blazing) Lock Man's award for most gorgeous chocolate in the world goes to Lindt (Swiss, although they do have a factory in New Hampshire). Particularly the Lindor sphere's which my son brought back from a trip round the Lindt factory in Germany for me for Father's Day. He's pretty #40## good for a 14yo!

Can't beat a good old Scottish malt whiskey. Jb, chevas regal mmm mmm mmm! Tennants lager. Irn-bru, amazing countryside. Porridge haha

US... Cool #17##### cars! Grunge. And the fact all roads are concrete, and not the cheap crap TARMAC that we use.

Good things about the USA:-
It's about 5,000 miles away from the UK........

Hahahahaha

Touché, that was a good one..............

Brit things I like?

Music - Muse, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, U2, Sinead, etc, etc.

Some beers are good too, Harp being my favorite Brit Brew.

There's something very sexy about a girl speaking with a British accent..............

Have you met Dieses Madchen?

The Gun Totin' Redneck chick? Of course, just not in person, she's scary and a loose cannon I hear.

Apparently she does a mean English accent. Just sayin........
Talking about me like im not here to read? :p

UK,

Cadbury's chocolate
Real Ale
Heinz Tomato Ketchup
The historic bits

US

The attitude towards success and the ambition you see
The scenery
Fast food and Diners

More UK:
Supernanny
The Million Pound Drop
Some amazing documentaries eg. Dispatches
Queen (the group)
I have cousins that live in the UK and I love 'em.

UK

My football team :)

Respect, in certain places, of who you are dating, no matter if they are different to you (culturally)

The weather - you don't 'bake' too often :D

Sense of humour

US

Friendly people (limited in my experience of 10 days but the people were so nice)

Women love my accent !

Stephen Fry and Billy Connolly's shows from exploring the USA

American Football (bring back Madden !)

Very funny comedy shows - Friends, Big Bang, Cheers, Frasier etc

Amazing Dramas - The Wire, Treme....that's all I can think of at the moment

The ideal that nothing is not achievable - some of the lobbies in LV hotels were bigger than regions in the UK

Also - in the UK as a kid you grow up on US TV and a lot of your heroes are from the States. Especially, sports people :)

Come on Hershey's chocolate is not bad, not the best but I grew up on the stuff!!! Wilbur chocolate is MUCH better but I believe it a local thing. You have to know where Lititz PA, is to know about Wilbur's.

I love the British accent, European architecture, especially the old churches and chapels. Great authors! Heard diet could be better, but I would love to visit you guys over there some day!

I love the many, sometimes impossible to understand American accents, and how they love to build BIG! Have been there twice voluntary and once being re-routed on a flight, have had the pleasure to meet Rambo who took away my passport and escorted me to a police car where I was shown the airport from a different view all the way to the gate for the connecting flight! Their security is impressive! Their museums are awesome!

I'm not usually a person that has anything bad to say about the USA, but the chocolate from there tastes like rubbish.

Hope that helps. ;)

girls with the southern american accent!
american cereal!
mountain dew!

I like the US Infinite Refills on every soft drink. That's been incredibly slow to catch on here, I only know Pizza Hut that does it.
#40##, you guys made me think about Pizza Hut, I'll have to go there tomorrow... :good:
