The Uk And The Usa...

I love the Tudor style homes in Britain with the exposed wood beams on the outside, thatched roofs, and the beautiful scenery. When I was in England, we lived in a small little town that was very peaceful with lots of nature and no hustle and bustle of the big city. And everyone was so polite to each other.

Where did you live, DM?

Good things about the UK:-
The Lake District
Mock The Week
Free healthcare
Using proper English! :hey:

Good things about the USA:-
It's about 5,000 miles away from the UK........

UK:
Tea! I am a total addict. When I moved here 6 years ago I didn't drink hot drinks full stop lol (and now I say things like "full stop")
Landscape - including the chunky ponies and sheep! I could start listing places all over Scotland and England (haven't been to Wales!) but we'd be here all day.
More "European" Foods than you get in the US (including Birtish foods obv.!)
CHOCOLATE!
Pubs (great beers!) :drinks:
Beaauuuutiful architechture that changes so much depending on where you are in the country

US:
My family are there!
Good old Southern food mmm I feel my arteries clogging now hehe
Big houses with lower house prices
Warm Weather
Wide open spaces
Customer service oritentated industries (like in restaurants and even health care because it's competitive there - but then you pay a bomb for it vs the NHS...)
The historic cities that run along the east coast like Charleston SC and Savannah GA

UK
Fry ups
The way we go on and on about football but never win anything lol
Rugby
Royal family
Cuppa tea
F1

USA
Huge houses and gardens
You can get a supersize anything

Hahahahaha

Touché, that was a good one..............

Brit things I like?

Music - Muse, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, U2, Sinead, etc, etc.

Some beers are good too, Harp being my favorite Brit Brew.

There's something very sexy about a girl speaking with a British accent..............

The Gun Totin' Redneck chick? Of course, just not in person, she's scary and a loose cannon I hear.

Apparently she does a mean English accent. Just sayin........

The USA has so many great things about it.
Hershey chocolate (Hershey, PA. is close to my house)

Well, if you like chocolate that smells faintly of sick and has a cheese-like aftertaste...

Hey Hershey is the best US chocolate out there, but its still miles away from the genius of Milka or Kinder or Rittersport

Hershey Chocolate is good but I prefer Russell Stover's or Whitman's

Best Chocolate I ever tasted was from Norway, Italy & Germany

Other British things I appreciate:

Joe Calzaghe, Lennox Lewis & Ricky Hatton! Great boxers..........
