After perusing a certain thread I feel some love needs to be felt in the room. How about listing things we like/love from the UK and/or the USA? Nothing insulting to either nation please.
I'm Irish so I'm on the side of both. :) Let me see.....

The UK - Only Fools and Horses.
Kate Middleton's fab outfits.
The Chelsea Flower Show.
Good Pubs.
Good Shopping.
How you guys didn't sell your national forests.(A particular favourite)
Sir David Attenborough.

The USA - Good Shopping.
Good Food and lots of it.
Bill Bryson.
Nothin' like a good Hollywood Blockbuster.
Stunning Scenery and Wildlife.
Some great T.V. drama's like The Soprano's, ER....
Great Sitcoms like Frasier, Friends....

I'm sure there's lots more to add.......

i love a good ole british cuppa tea, i hate coffee

i also like the fact that most houses in the usa are huge with huge gardens not like our pokey little houses and hankercheif gardens (unless your rich that is)

Us British love to complain - and that isn't insulting because we're proud of it

We also love awesome American TV shows and their brilliantly long series (or is it seasons? ) True Blood, Big Bang Theory, House etc

English Breakfast Tea, Fish and Chips, and shortbread cookies :hyper:

Ah Les Dawson. Memories. Remember Benny Hill and Kenny Everett?
As for Joan Rivers, I think she's hilarious. Sharp for her age.

Polite and friendly waiters
Cheap clothes
Wide roads

Not only big houses buy huge gardens too, some with pools and the weather to match.

I live in the USA, also Amish country. If you don't know who the Amish are, please google it. I've never been to the UK but I'd love to go sometime. The USA has so many great things about it. Where do I start??

Pet Fish stores everywhere

The food, oh man the food!! You can't beat southern US cooking. (Yes I'm from the north)
Hershey chocolate (Hershey, PA. is close to my house)

really, no hot water bottles, thats criminal, the hot water bottle is your best freind when your poorly or got a ache or pain, and as i live in the country i adore the narrow country lanes that baffle city slickers

I love the Tudor style homes in Britain with the exposed wood beams on the outside, thatched roofs, and the beautiful scenery. When I was in England, we lived in a small little town that was very peaceful with lots of nature and no hustle and bustle of the big city. And everyone was so polite to each other.
