Hey Lovelies!  My wife's 1998 Mercury Mountaineer needs a new front differential & transfer case, which amounts to at least $3000 worth of fixin' so we're retiring her.  She's been great to us, had her for over 12 years and 205,000 miles.  She doesn't owe us anything anymore.  We spent all day finding a new SUV for her & we settled on a 2011 Mercury Mariner with only 21,000 miles on it for about $19,000.  Those payments are gonna hurt but she sure does shine!

Now I'm too pooped to do much more than watch TV and drink beer.

Hey Lovelies!!!

Congradulmations on the new purchase!

Is it an all wheel drive one?

Got some gourmet fishy foods from anglesplus.com... I got an anti verm food, a blended food for my other community tank, and a fry strarter blend for my guppy fries.. The fry pellets were a lil bigger than i expect (twss)

No, her Mountaineer was all wheel drive & those are the parts that eventually failed, even if it was after 205,000 miles.  Sometimes having extras can lead to expensive repairs when those extras fail.  If it had been selectable 4 wheel drive, we could've disengaged the transfer case and she'd still be driving it.

You seemed preconditioned to purchase Mercury.  (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Not me really, although I do think they last a long time.  We had that SUV longer than my son's been alive, which is why my wife wanted to get another Mercury, albiet the smaller Mariner rather than the Mountaineer.

I've got a rabbit and two guinea pigs, so I never need to mow my lawn either :D

The pigs are better than the rabbit; she tends to eat some bits and leave others growing; and she digs holes everywhere; the pigs are really quite efficient ;)

Ooooh I would love to have a couple of pigs.. or even goats.  Alas.. we live in the city and that would be frowned upon in our front yard.  :)

Hey Lovelies!  It's a beautiful Monday and all the fish are doing grand.  My gripe for the day would have to be seeings how the weather is getting warmer...  really wish people knew what the heck deoderant was!!!!  Or bathing for that matter.  :(  And in my work... I deal with many who do not.

I'd drop some less than subtle hints... like leaving a coupon for deodorant on their desk.

Or buy a sample size for them to try.

I was talking about guinea pigs (cavies), not snorting, porcine pigs! I don't think actual pigs are very good grass cutters, although they're great for turning lawns into potential veggie patches :D

LOL at the coupon suggestion.  Unfortunately, it is NOT co-workers but more clients.  We move to a brand new building in a month or so and the air circulation/conditioning will be much better though.

Ahhh....guinea pigs.  Got it.  I used to have one years ago.  Loved that little guy.  He was a Houdini of sorts and whenever he went missing we would always find him in the laundry pile.

Hey Lovelies!!!!

Busy day today...

One of my customers at work blew up his o-scope... In the 12volt supply he popped cr29 which is some sort of diode.. It actually exploded also a couple of the caps swelled up too.. It looks like it took some water in the power supply at some point... The dude axed me if i could fix it.. Of course i can... Will fix it tomorrow.. Ran out of time today..

Hasing a beer, then i has to mow what is left of my lawn, then get my shed ready for the four tons of pellets i has coming on wednesday...

Had a long day today with out annual End Hunger conference. Governor graced us with his presence. Speakers were not as good as last year but still great to touch base with others in the community. Back to the daily grind tomorrow.

Hey Lovelies!  We moved the Panda Lyretail Molly from my ridiculously overstocked 20 gallon to my son's understocked 55 gallon and he seems to be doing fine.  Although he is trying to mate with the male Swordtail................

Anyways, we're gonna move the (7) Trilineatus Corries from the 20 to the 55 tonight, wish us luck.  That should even out the stockings of both tanks much better than it was and then we can look into upping the numbers of Tetras in the 55 a bit.
