wow those frogs are huge!!!

never got around to doing water changes.. they must be done today..

one of my albino corys just dropped dead infront of me last night. i was feeding the fish, put the food away under the tank looked up and one was dead. no signs of disease or illness on the dead fish or any other fish in my tank. did a water change yesterday with 0 ammonia, 0 nitirite and my tap is around 10-20ppm nitrate. i used a bit more cold water than normal(around 40%) because i was in a rush and just decided to leave the hose running while i was doing other stuff.

could the cold water have shocked a fish in to death? a day later?

Did a huge water change on my 37 gallon.. Taking my lunch break, then after lunch I'll do the other two tanks..

Hi Staxx, sorry to hear that but it deffo wasn't the cold water change. Corys like a splash of cold water (it get's em randy ) when I do water changes my water temp drops by about 5 degrees and I've never had a problem or seen my fish react to it at all.

I had an endler "drop dead" on me this week it was fine and then it started flailing around and in less than 5 minutes it was dead.

OH, by the way, my new goldfish is called Stanley. I like the name, it suits his personality and it also begins with 'S' just like Smokey, so I can remember him when I see Stanley

yeah AA, my tank dropped around 5-7 degrees and everything appeared fine. was just making sure tbh, ive done cold water changes up to 60% before and everything was fine.

was just kinda shocked the way it dropped dead literally right infront of me lol

Hey lovelies!
Had a lucky escape this morning. Hubby was up for work at 5am and came rushing up to get me up as 2 thirds of the water from the Rio was on the floor. I had an airstone in it since last week and the bit attached to the stone came away during the night so the tube was sucking up water. Cue watering can and one grumpy/sleepy/relieved it wasn't a crack in the tank gal!
Think I'll get a power head. I put the airstone in for a bit of movement down that end of the tank though I know they don't help much.
Floor was soaked.
Nobody has sorted me out yet so I'm still a newbie with 2 f's.
