Very cool, I am very interested in following your experiences as you develop your tank!  Its so shiny and new and bright!  Good Luck!

edit: font sizing in this editor is all wacked out here.  Sorry if its huge or too small...

Thanks :) im pleased with how its going ive got more plants  coming tomorrow :)

Oh, interesting looking bogwood.  :)

Looks like you'll be doing a fish-in-cycle. Hope all goes well!

the filter is mature and had only not been in use for a week before so it appears to be in good shape :) i added food to make ammonia to start the cycle but its appeared to break it down so from what i can see the bacteria is in good shape :)

ive just added some danio's to start with to take it slow and watch i dont cause a spike :)

Hurray!  Are those the first fish added?  How are they liking their new home?  I bet youre not even reading reading this, youre just staring at the tank....its what I would be doing haha

they are indeed - and ive been doing a fair bit of staring at the tank ha ha.

3 of them are enjoying their new home since feeding time this morning however one of them who seemed a bit skinny as soon as he was out the bag hasnt really eaten so im keeping an eye on him but fingers crossed :)

Well my fingers are crossed for ya too.  It's fairly normal i think to have a shy one here or there while they adjust to the tank.  I am no stranger to that - i've made a couple of horrible mis-steps in getting new fish in the tank, which resulted in some *really* traumatized and shy behavior, but it all straightened out in time.  I think i'll post about a few of my experiences in my journal thread - my horrible mistakes should make you feel much better about what's going on with your  setup :)

thanks i will take a look :) i took a risk when buying them tbf they were the only danios in the shop and looked a bit on the thin side but ill see how they go :)

update - hes perked up now i treated with some anti-internal bacteria and after a water change he was swimming normal with the others again - still a bit skinny but now hes eating he should be back to normal in no time :)

there ya go

Actually it looks pretty cool draws your eyes to the left area. But nice tank!

Nice!  Clean-looking.  I happen to like asymmetrical layouts for the more natural look, and to me your tank looks great already.
