then hang the skimmer on the tank edge

Mr Trod could build the shelf low down, then it would be hidden behind the sofa you would only see the tubes

I feel your pain Trod, i had similar issue's when fitting my skimmer, not having a sump tank can be a bit of a nightmere can't it.

i believe that would put the skimmer at to much presser i think it has to be level with the tank eg clamp to top level

if its below the water level it wont work i dont think. Plus it would siphon if a cpower cut happened.

Thanks Guys, I shall put shelf so skimmer sits as it would if on side of tank ordered pipes and bubble stop today, should be picking them up Friday. Then hopefully get shelf fitted over weekend. Nearly ready for water

But water did

State of play as of now, water up to temperature, 10kg of salt added, I'll wait for that to dissolve then add more in morning.

Yes I thought that was a good move too
