The Indecisive Journal Of Trod's 5 Footer

Wow, so sorry Trod. I can't believe you're having this much trouble trying to keep lionfish. Are the others doing ok?

Sorry to hear about the football too!!!!

Not sure where abouts you are, but I found this on a certain auction site..... item number: 260458749994 Made me sad to look at the poor little guy. But I'm sticking to brackish....it's scary enough for me!!!!! Hope this little one finds a good home
And just incase my daughter reads this...NO, I wasn't looking for new tanks  Honest!

hey Trod

Sorry to hear about your troubles! hopefully he is just hiding away. My Ram done that yesterday it scared the hell out of me until i saw him/her blended in perfectly with the gravel.

Could you try dropping a bit of food around?

Bagu :good:

Thank you for your kind words guys and gals.

Ski, I am as stumped as you, all my other fish are fine, eating well and very active, I have also put some zoa's, a recordea and a toadstool in there and they are doing well too.

I really don't understand it

This is really confusing.
Is there anyway he could of got in to the sort of sump or anything like that?

YF

I don't have a sump YF, and he couldn't have jumped out as I have a hood, I did look in my protein skimmer (I know, it was a long shot, but I was desperate) but nowhere to be found.

Well I'm not going to say a definite no, but I picked up every piece of LR and turned it upside down.
I haven't given up all hope only about 95%, I am still looking for him each evening and hoping.

Its just that I read a post of Glidergirls this morning. She tried to swap a magenta dottyback from one tank to the other. She moved all the live rock and there was no sign.

Once the rock was reassembled, the dottyback came out again.

Just wondering whether he had been looking for a nice cave and perhaps he got a little stuck or something??

I am not sure of his size or the sizes of your rock, but some of thise pieces do look fairly big.

Here's hoping with everything I can cross, crossed.

i freaked out this morning as i chissled my lr and a peppermint shrimp fell out the centre of it so i ranin and chucked it in the tank and it lived

trod its a long shot but he couldof berried himself in your sand
