Will put skimmer on, on saturday then leave it alone to do its stuff.

ewww murky water :p

it looks really cool, rock watching looks great... sad thing is, when i go to my LFS i just stand and stare at the LR they have there XD

I have read so many differant views about curing, some say do daily water changes some say weekly some say none

It would be interesting to hear about how others have done it :good:

I am just going to play it by ear and watch it, or should that be smell it  Smell is not quite as pleasent as it was yesterday, I'm just thankfull that the weather is nice so I can have all the doors and windows open

If it smells that bad now Trod, think how bad it would smell if you don't water change. I think you are going to have to at some point, otherwise you and hubby will be moving out till its cured!!

Think you might be right T, I'm sitting here with all the doors and windows open, and it stinks, I've just been out with seffie and bought an 80L container, water being made and planning water change

I know I'm not going to be able to stand it

Bought an acrylic Rod too thought I'd give it a go :)
1m long 1/2" thick

I think you may have just saved your marriage and sense of smell there. :good:

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the acrylic rod.

hehe, sorry to ask a silly question, what is the rod for? poking the rock =/?

hehe sorry to sound silly

The only silly question is the one not asked bagu :good:

Its to help with aquascaping, you drill holes in the LR then place it onto the rod, makes a much more stable scape and you can acheive more interesting shapes too. I want to make 2 caves for my lions and it 'should' be easier with the rods :good:

trod if it was me i would a water change as i have always bought uncrued live rock and when it dose smell bad you usally have to do between 3-6" i only go for uncured because i
see loads of other corals-algeas growing so do a water change that should help the smell and the water

regards scott

i was talking to my LFS about it, guy with a bach of marine science, not just your stupid LFS worker. He said the first 2 weeks you should do requent water changes, and after just leave it. So like 20% water changes twice a week than after 2 weeks just leave it to cycle.
