The Best Fish Forum

Tweety loves it here more members to show off at. :hyper:

It's horses for courses.

The SW side of this forum is somewhat light and can't claim to compete with the Behemoth that is Reef Central. RC has had 2948 members online at once, compared to TFF with 841.

The membership of RC is also massive: Members: 148,809, Threads: 1,031,284, Posts: 9,196,652.

I find TFF a good general site, but it does lack depth in a number of areas.

"SW" being sea-water?

interesting stats andywg 9,196,652 they will soon be up the BIG 10-mill

I have to agree, that though this forum is good; they're are just others that I prefer to read, as they just appeal to me more. They also don't have the... "whining" about "aggression" I add, which is something I enjoy.

Worldwide, this is the only general fish forum I frequent..

Is it the best? maybe.. where is the competition? I don't think there are any competitors.

TFF is the best place for general freshwater discussion. However, it's impossible to compete with Reef Central with marine subjects. Sooner or later most (not all, but a great portion) hobbyists graduate to marine aquariums. I have no freshwater tanks anymore, just 2 brackish tanks and 2 marine tanks. If it weren't for my interest in brackish aquaria I wouldn't spend any time on TFF to be honest.

I haven't been lured to the dark side (yet) - tempted yes, I won't deny :shifty: But I will just never be able to give up on catfish. Never ever.

But as a general site, this, in my opinion is the best. Agreed that the specialist sites are (obviously in most cases) far better for fast specialised answers/opinions.

Get some Plotusus lineatus and have the best of both worlds, marine and catfish ;)

I like it here too.
Wish though william would brighten the board up it abit drab.

I like that it seems more high tech, I don't really like places like RC even though I'm interested in SW. The layouts are a bit part in me going here as opposed to somewhere else. Also, everyone answeres all my questions, no matter how stupid. ^_^

Well I for one despise behemoth forums, especially Saltwaterfish.com. I cannot voice my opinion on that website right now as TFF is a family site.

TFF in my opinion is better than RC and SWF could ever hope to be.
