The Adventures Of A Marine Newbie...

Glad to report all is well in the tank. The amino acid supplement is working miracles on the corals and I'll get piccies up soon when I'm allowed to move about more after my op :D

More pics to follow, but had a good quick trip to Amwells today.

I picked up Edna the possum wrasse

Where's Edna? Look hard and you'll see her eyes

She's met Alfred who wasn't that impressed with yet another rock dwelling fish  He kept going round to check her out. She's claimed space behind the kenya tree where Alfred wasn't, and now suddenly Alfred likes that area too
James brought me in a frag of red sea xenia from one of his own tanks, I picked up the torch coral frag with two lovely heads on it and I've also rented a sea hare to get rid of my nuisance algae before my bigger pump arrives. I've called it Roger the Lodger and I'm just editing pics right now

The amino acids are doing wonders more pics to come with FTS etc :D

FTS - the acans and toadstool are sulking after Alfred launched the toady out of its perch. Enoch Hammer is slowly plumping up its polyps again but isn't perfect yet

Truck...fish list now is

2 tank bred percs
1 starry blenny
1 green coral goby
1 possum wrasse

The clowns own the open water and everyone else is happy swimming about the live rock. This was a conscious decision I made to leave the open waters to the clowns and they seem very happy with it :D

Seffie...I'm just glad it's all over. It should have taken just over an hour but took them over 4.5 hours due to complications and additional findings. I was 'conscious' for the whole thing, they gave me enough diamorphine to floor a charging bull elephant and found it the most traumatic and upsetting thing to go through - still having nightmares about it at the mo. The good thing is they did eventually manage to do what they went in to do so I just need to get my strength back and I shouldn't have the heart problems I had before :)

OMG  sounds awful - lets hope it was worth all that trauma and you continue to improve :good:

Jennybugs get well soon!

What type of Conch do you have? and did you get him at a lfs or online somewhere?

I have decided I want a conch in my tank!

The tank has come along really well jenny and all the corals looks very healthy. I might give that amino acid supplement a go myself and see if it gives me similar results.

Anyways hope you get well soon, take it steady
