That's what I'm hoping Ben. I'll let it settle in at it's own pace. The params are all spot on and everything's healthy so II'm in no rush. Got a bet on with the OH as to when it will open
Thanks B
The green goby is indeed a beautiful colour. The camera can't really do it justice. The green is a translucent greeny/blue and the red is actually cerise pink.
I have a little yellow clown goby now too and it's sooooooo small but darts everywhere. He's claimed the rock at the front right of the tank. I had to cover the sufrace skimmer with netting as he ended up in there a couple of times, he's that small Fattening up nicely now so pics soon
I have to introduce my teeeeny yellow clown goby to you - meet Cliff, Norm's pal
When I first got him, he kept swimming into the suface skimmer so I had to net it up. He looked a bit peaky for a while and his tum was a bit sunken, but now he's a lively little squib and has claimed the entire front rock on the right for his very own
I have some pics to sort out of him sitting in Enoch (the hammer coral) tonight!
I've just watched Walter the big blue ricordea eating some brine shrimp too. He folded himself completely in half and managed to detach himself from the rock so i have stuck him back down again!
My little red mushie has doubled in size and everything's happy today - well apart from the kenya tree who's needing more viagra and the leather has shut up shop and is totally green today
Fuji FinePix S9600 Seffie That and lots of patience and never taking the camera too far away from the marine tank in case I miss something Thank heavens as well for the ease of digital photography to delete and try again!
Your tank is looking spot on and you have some lovely coral's. I noticed from your last FTS that you are not cleaning the back glass, i really like the look with all the coraline, i am not cleaning mine ethier but in my tank it just looks dirty and unkept, whats the secret to get coraline on the glass, i only have a few small spots.
The back panel is actually a plastic based divider rather than glass, so I have no choice but to let it get covered in coraline It happend pretty darned fast as well and I think it may have been something to do with my LR being covered in a thick coating of coraline in the first place maybe? That's all I can think of really.
It grows on the glass quite readily too but I'm managing to keep it in check so far
BEAUTIFUL. i'm currently borderline wether to set up a marine tank (again) last atmept didnt go too well :\
really nice tank though
proper good photography skills too
Thanks! I say GO FOR IT! How much more do we have to do to sway you back to the dark side? I heartily recommend my tank...I dare you to copy me!
I have been keeping an eye on Mildred my clownfish as she's been very quiet just floating above the mushie rock.
Last night I saw George with her and I am thinking George may be turning into a GeorgINA! He's bigger than Mildred now as in deeper in the body and more solid! Mildred is now displaying submissive behaviour too.
It is really interesting to watch and as I say I have been noticing her different behaviour of late so I'll have to keep you all posted
Had a good day shopping yesterday. Finally found a lovely cabbage coral, got some more hermits and a mithrax crab which promptly trundled off eating the algae as it went *yay*
The cabbage coral is stunning! The photos don't do the colour justice...
This may be the only pic I ever get of the crabby - it shot into the rockwork eating as it went
The hermits are chowing down
The leather is happy with its goosepimples
Alfred is as handsome as ever too and he took extreme umbridge to me placing the cabbage over his rock and actually shoved the rock off his domain!
Norm keeping an eye on a brittle starfish when I turned the pumps off for a water change
Cliff's growing well
I just can't capture the velvety green of these mushrooms on the camera
