I think it's very rude to all the newbies when people look at their introductions and do not say or anything.
I have just seen one newbie with 22 views and no-one put a hello on there, that is just plain rude IMO.
Just think back to when you were a newbie, were you welcomed? how did you feel?
It only takes a few seconds to say .
come on guys we're all able to be polite, so lets post those welcomes!

When I was a newbie, I never introduced myself.

I've not answer a few newbies, but that was because I don't like giving an empty hello. I like to answer a question they post or react to what they say. If I can't, then I don't post.

As for those who post and don't say hi, I said nearly the same thing you did.

I got a few hellos ^__^ I really makes someone fell welcomed and happy. Even if it is a hollow hello. At least they are saying hi!

I like saying Hi to Newbies as I was one myself not so long ago and this seemed like such a nice forum to join. I got a few responses too which was nice!

It wasn't aimed at people who don't go in there, as I said 22 views and no hellos is just plain rude. why read an introduction and not reply! I just don't get it? am I being an or am I just for thinking we are all polite people. you tell me.

I usually go in there and view the newbies to see the new people to look forward to talkin to but i think its kinda cheap to go over and say hi to everyone just so they can get a post count

Well before I agree or disagree with you, did the newbie say something in their post that might've offended people reading it?

I rarely go in the newbies forum. Could be that the newbie clicked on his/her own thread 22 times looking to see if someone replied yet. I can't imagine one newbie not being welcomed while others are being greeted with arms wide open

Dose the post count really matter?
It's not like we get a prize for the most posts or anything!
I am becomming very disillusioned with this entire site and peoples attitude on it!
