Hiya ive been looking for some cichlids for a while, found some on ebay on sunday with free postage and packaging, 10 for £10 which i thought was really cheap so i went ahead and brought them. now i really regret it and dont know if ive made a huge mistake, ive brought fish b4 off ebay but always collect them in person.
i asked the person to let me know when he was going to post them so i could make sure i was at home when they got here, he said he posted them this afternoon 1st class and they should be here tomorrow or by thursday, now im thinking surely they wont last that long in a container or whatever.
can someone let me know if they have had this b4.

Does it really matter what any of us think at this point? You'll just have to wait and see. Worst case scenerio you're out 10 bones.

Fairly commonplace in LFS deliveries acctually. Just go realy slow with the acclimatisation, unless the poor thingls look like they are on their way out. Judgeing when it is best to just "dunck" them requies experience and judgement, but usually it isn't nessisarry. Slowly re-introduce them to light or you will give them "photoshock". Aim to open one flap of the box per 5 mins in a darkened room, and float as per normal for 20mins. Then add a cup per 10 mins to their bag water untill full. Net the fish out and dump the old bag water :good: The bag water will be ladened with ammonia after so long, so it is best not to add it to your tank ;)
