Tetratec Media?

Since i dont use the carbon in my ex600, i was thinking about adding more media where it goes, such as bio balls or ceramic rings

Is there much benifit? What is the best to add?

I've just replaced the black plastic balls with more ceramic rings in both my Tetratec externals. I don't see how the plastic balls have anywhere NEAR the same amount of surface area as an extra tray of ceramic rings.

Hmm i may just add more ceramic rings in place of the carbon so ill have 2 trays of those ceramic rings bio balls and the sponges/filter floss...
