Hi all,

I want to buy a new filter for my tank (28L). I currently have an undergravel filter that was provided as a part of the package when I bought the tank but to be honest I'm not a big fan of them. I was thinking of buying a Tetratec Internal Filter 400 Plus and was just looking round to found out if anyone has used one or has one in their setup currently and what they think of them. Are they decent or should I go for something else?

Here's a link to the filter in question:

Welcome to our TFF forum Regal24.
That particular model is not one I have tried but it seems a good size for your tank. In general the Tetratech brand seems to get lots of good reviews here. The only internal I have used that was similar is a Fluval 4+. It would be too large for your tank but the smaller ones should be equally reliable. I have had mine for several years now with no troubles.

Thank you oldman. I have also looked into buying a Fluvul Mini which is suitable for tanks up to 45L. They both seem to be decent products so I think factors such as price and asthetics(!) will probably be what sways me either way. Thank you for your response.
