Tetra disappeared overnight

Was wondering why over feeding would cause fish to die. Tetra disappeared overnight. All fish been fine for 3 weeks

Over feeding can cause ammonia problems that kill fish if the filter hasn't established.

If the fish are new they might have a disease that killed it. We need pictures of the dead and live fish and more info on the tank to be able to give better answers.
