everythings spaced out so much but i guess it's just a rough copy....

it depends on your resolution. On my 15" monitor at 800x600 it looks well spaced out (to me). I shall have to learn more about getting it to automatically adjust itself according to the users settings. Thanks.

IMHO the use of ukg is a bit misleading;

the gallonage used in the UK is an imperial mesurement,
so imperial gallons is what should be stated.

apart from that what a great job
there is finally a place to calculate bow front tanks and
6 sided tanks(tri front)

Cool! Can you add another odd shape to it? I've got an older corner tank that is shaped like the drawing below, sort of a "tri-front corner" for lack of a better name.

I was wondering about that Wolf. Do you think that "gal(US)" and "gal(imp/UK)" would be better? or can you suggest something else?

Is "tri-front" a good description for that shape tank? It's the only thing I could think of calling it!

I certainly can! Will do when I get some time. Are you after an answer or do you already know? If you need to know then I can probably do a quick calc and let you know before getting around to coding it.

Also, with the bow fronts. Is the required 'bow' measurement that is being asked for okay? I was thinking that it might be easier for somebody to physically measure, if that measurement was changed to be 'from the back to the largest radius point' rather than the current 'from where the straight front would have been to the largest radius point' sort of thing ?!

Very cool. At first i didnt notice the unitsa dn when i got 1.2 gallons it was really wierd. After that it works really nicely.

No probs Polardbear, I need to figure out how to do it before I can code it anyway - your surface area is 678.53 square inches. I need the height to give you the volume.

Cheers Fishy411 :)

edit...I have now added that shape to my Volume Calculator Polardbear, so you can bung your numbers in and see what it says.

Your drawing on the bow-front is a bit odd - for the bow calculation, it looks like you're asking for the measurement from the middle of the tank to the deepest bow part. I assume you're asking for the back to bow measurement, but the picture doesn't quite convey that.

Cool tool!!!

It's currently asking for the measurement from where the flat front would be (if you drew across from the sides) to the mid point on the bow. I agree it is confusing though. I asked above what peoples opinions were on that and I plan on changing it so that it requires the back-to-front measurement. Thanks :)

edit...just changed it now.

Cool! I think the back to bow is much easier to measure

I gave up right away because I couldnt figure out what to do, Just figured out that it was because I am in fire fox, lol
