I don't know of any test kits that would help you, but I do have an idea.

Do you have an LFS near you that would be willing to test your water for you and give you the stats? If it's very near, then you could just do that. Most LFSs' are very nice and accomodating for those of us who need help, for whatever reason. I know the LFSs' near me are willing to test water for customers. You could even buy the API Master test kit (that's what we recommend here, since it's extremly comprehensive) and bring the water and test kit with you, so you won't have to feel bad about using their testing equipment.

Alternatively, you could buy the kit, and ask your neighbor (assuming you're friendly and in walking distance - since you could be on a farm, and I'd never know) to tell you the colors, and/or stats.

Im also red green colour blind, but I found it alot easier to read the tests if I covered one eye. It seems the colour blindness is worse in my left eye than my right. It may or may not help you doing it this way, but its worth a try ;)

your main key tests are ammonia, nitrite and pH, nitrate would be useful too if possible but not so essential

there's loads of options for pH, different probes and meters that give a digital reading

here's an ammonia alarm, how are you with green and blue, could you tell them apart from yellow? doesn't nescessarily matter if you can't differentiate between the two very well so long as you can see that it's a bluey/greeny colour as opposed to yellow it'll give you warning of danger :dunno:

found a nitrite meter that gives a digital reading, very expensive though

ooh just found this website, again expensive (no idea what your budget is?!) but gives you digital meters for measuring all the key levels

obviously i don't know your personal situation but is there no one around who could read them for you if need be. if you could just get an ammonia alarm and pH probe it's a good start and if you spot any problems then you can get a friend over to read the tests for you. or just take some water to the lfs for detailed testing.

another option is you can rig your pc up to your fishtank and it warns you when levels are off, i assume you could get it to beep at you or something when the levels are off.

don't really know how they work but i do know it's possible
