My boiler developed a fault with it's ignition last week...

To get a warm/hot shower I have turn the heating on so twice a day my tank temp goes up from 26.something to 28.something and honestly I'm not too worried about it. Granted it's not ideal but from my understanding 30C and above will be problematic. If you haven't already I think the best bet would be for everyone to get an lcd thermometers as they're more accurate than the mercury/tradition ones.

The second it gets above 77F in my house it's time to turn on the air conditioner!

77? If it hits 74 here I am checking the the thermostat every couple of minutes wondering why the A/C is having trouble keeping it at 72.

I agree. 77 wasn't cutting it so I lowered it to 75 today. 72 is better but it makes for a scary bill. I'm not even sure it's possible during a Texas summer. Last summer we hit 110 in the shade I believe.
