When I get lazy, stem plants and high maintenance plants often find themselves in buckets.

Anyway, totally redid the 5 gal without any stem plants except for m. micranthemoides-- going to try to make it carpet. Bought some hair grass, some extra crypts, and went for a look that was easier to maintain. ;)

yea, your set up make the tank seem larger, nice, very nice

Very nice mate. Is that a Nutrafin co2 system I spy? I'm getting rid of mine on Saturday and finally getting a pressurized system, can't wait!!

Looks great, can't believe it's only a 5 gallon....looks a lot bigger... :D :kewlpics:

Thanks all, I really appreciate the comments. :*)

Oh it IS small . . .

With Dwarf Licorice Gouramies, Ember Tetras (adult length .75 inches), micro rasboras, and pygmy cories . . . lol

gf225-- you nailed it buddy. Good luck with the pressurized system-- should be a lot more convenient and reliable. I wish I had a tank worth meriting one, but any cheap tank under 20 gallons, I cannot see justifying buying a pressurized system.

Thanks guys. I think I might talk to a breeder friend this weekend . . . there's another species of micro rasbora besides the maculata, and he says he might be able to get me some. :shifty:

Super looking small tank, looks very healthy tank

I think this a great example of a planted tank you can create without spending a fortune
