Tattoed fish are produced totally for commercial reasons. I read in pkf that around the world cup last year that if an lfs had ordered 50 albino parrots with the st georges cross tattoed on it he could have sold every one. Probably for an extortionate price like your i love you parrot.
It is just wrong and inhumane to tattoo fishwhen we are trying to keep fish as natural and as humanely as possible. Some people might like it until they realise the pain and discomfort the fish go through. Can you imagine having a whole body tattoo all at once when you have sensitive skin? That is probably what it is like for the fish!
