Hi ---I have the opportunity to purchase some redline torpedoe barb/sharks at a great price.I have loved these since i first saw their picture. This is the first time i have seen them in the local area.
I have a school of tiger barbs as well as a school of Arulius Barbs.I have multiple tanks.I know the tank requirements for a school of redlines. But i have trouble finding information on suitable tankmates.
Would they co-habitate well with either the tiger barbs or the Arulius barbs?Or would that be asking for trouble?-Once again if it should require a new tank or larger one -it's not a problem.I just wonder if they would work out well with either of my other 2 barb tanks/
Any suitable tankmates suggested would be appreciated.--Thanks.

i have always seen them work really well with a good size group of rainbow fish which makes for a great display of color and activity.

thank you..that may be the way i go.--any other suggestions any1 --especially about the compatability with tiger barbs or the arulius. If I go with rainbows or anything else it will mean setting up a new tank. That is fine ,if I have to do so.Does any1 know about the capmpatability between them and the barbs i have already?
Once again -thank you arabballin ,if i have to go a new tank route ,rainbows would certainly be at or near the top of my list. They are very pretty.

I kept my denisonii barbs with 3 Hemiodus and 4 clown loach in a five foot tank, (the hemi's and barbs would reguarly shoal as one group), IME they are fairly peaceful compared the the arulius and tiger barbs which can bully other fish when they mature. I would keep these barbs with other similar sized fast swimming fish

Just remember that Torpedo barbs get large and love to swim, so need a large long tank. they are also community fish so need a group for the best results.
