Not wanting any advice here, thanks.I was wondering if anyone has kept danios in a tank of 90l or less?

Yes in one of my first tanks I had a 48 liter fish box and had some Zebra Danios, I had 5, I kept them with White Cloud Mountain Minnows as I knew they were best kept on the cooler side of things and a Hill Stream Loach. This tank was one of my first mistakes really as I did not appreciate the need of a strong current for these fish and lost the Hill Stream Loach after a few weeks. The Minnows did okay but the Danios just kind of looked bored and also I got a really dominant one that looking back was probably female as it was quite heavy set compared to the others. Once I got hooked on fish keeping I got a bigger tank, my first 4 foot tank it was around 40 gallons and the difference between the Danios in the smaller tank and this was so much better just swam swarming around like schooling fish should - I loved them so much in this tank that I upped the school to 10 and later to 15 but I later found that they were bickering and killing each other off!! After that I realised they must be from pretty large schools so I added them upto 20 and put in some Leopards as well (same species) and they lived for ages at least 4 years when I had to close the tank down to move house.

I dont think volume is particularly important its more length and current, perhaps one of the many misunderstood fish in the hobby, great fish though :)

My first fish were a group of six Pearl Danios, that went in a 4-foot Rio240.

Yes - mistake. Needed longer tank.

Yes, we all make them - I think these actually ended up in my Trigon 350 :)

They were some of the first fish I bought - I think everyone has to own some danios at some point!

Anyway, they went back when I realised the tank was too short. Too hectic for my liking

Currently have danios in a 90L, they deffo need a longer tank though so i'm going to rehome mine shortly.
