tank size!! ARGH HELP!!!!

I've just had one of my final degree exams and my brain has turned to jam and string and I cant figure this one out help!!

I bought a tank 24"x12"x12", nowhere on the box does it say the capacity. The chart in the test kit box leads me to think its 5.5gal (uk) however yesterday I did a 50% water change, took 2 full 2gal buckets of water out, maybe even 2 and a half, and the thing was still half full (aren't I an optimist?!) so what is the capacity?!!

I've had people say 10, 12 gal, I just wanna no for sure, can someone please help?!! It's doing my head in!

Litres: 56.63
US Gallons: 14.96
UK Gallons: 12.46

it's approx 15 us gals mate or about 12.5 UK gals or 57 Litres.. there's your definite answer.. hope it helps

Why on earth does it say on the table that it is 50.5 litres, 5.5 gallons?! I dont know. Thanks anyway, much appreciated. I'm confused, but cheers!
