ALLOO. PLS HELP!! im a newbie aquariamist. I Have just bought a Test Kit and i''d like to see how these resluts are. In my test i have neon tetras.

Amonia- 0.02

Ph-7.5

Tempreture 74 F.

How goes it?

ammonia is no good, it should be at 0, do a 25% water change.

lol resluts.... doesnt sound right....

I seriously doubt you had a kit that is accurate enough to measure as low as .02ppm of ammonia. The lowest reading on a normal kit is .25ppm. Are you sure that is correct? As mentioned, you want ammonia and nitrite (what is your reading?) to be zero all the time. If your tank is new and you didn't cycle it before adding the fish, then you will definitely see some readings. You goal will be to do water changes of 20 to 30 percent as often as needed to keep ammonia and nitrite below .25 ppm. Because you have neons which are very delicate and can not tolerate ammonia and nitrite, it is even more important to keep the levels low.

Also, you need to raise the temperature. Most tropicals need to be in water of 76 ot 78 degrees.

Have you tested the nitrite levels and nitrate levels? Which tested kit are you using? I'd use a lquid form tester cus they are accurate.
good luck

good a water change, 15-20%

With 0,02 you should ask yourself if he actually meant 0,2 , since I've never seen a kit that can measure THAT accurate.

Even if it's 0,02 it would still not be a reason to do a water change. It's also a myth to believe that only 0,0 is prefect, no water contains zero ammonia when you have fish swimming in it.
