Tank Readings!

ALLOO. PLS HELP!! im a newbie aquariamist. I Have just bought a Test Kit and i''d like to see how these resluts are. In my test i have neon tetras.

Amonia- 0.02

Ph-0.76

Tempreture 74 F.

How goes it?

Not bad, you're ammonia should be at zero though, do a few water changes and see if you can get it to zero. Also do you have a nitrIte, and nitrAte testing kit? If not i recommend you get one!

As Tamara says, you ammonia is a littel high, but not dangerous. It would surgest to me that your tank has not finished cycling, and that you may be experiencing a nitrite spike at the moments. As Tamara recomended, a nitrite and nitrate test kit would fill the picture, giving a better all round view of your water conditions.

How long have you had the tank cycling for?

PH is fine at 7.6

Go and purchase a API MASTER testing kit so you can get all the readings that you need,

The ammonia is only the first step in trying to get your tank ready.

Once you have tested the Nitrite and Nitrate readings plse post.
