Unfortunately the clownfish is going to find it a tight squeeze!

The rock has loads of room though (may need more I think)

Nice rock though and I'm looking forward to rock watching!

I have to say it looks superb with all those wires showing doesn't it?

The tank came supplied with sticky back plastic - from now on referred to as SBP - but when I applied it, it just didn't stick to the back as I thought it would. It looked grey, not black and you could see all the trails of my professional vinyl applicator. The SBP was textured which didn't help matters so I will be purchasing some better stuff at a later date or reverting to the good old blue/black sheeting.

Why didn't I paint the back of the tank? I am useless when I get something new and couldn't wait to start setting it up

So, I have the supplied filter in the tank at the mo to get rid of the milky loveliness and I am tempted to keep it in there...it's silent! I could bung my rowaphos or such in there and build some rockup so you can't see much of it. Maybe.

I've got a moonlight led strip as I really like the one I put on the other tank - you can't beat 80's disco effects

So time to let it settle and start testing :D

Plans for the tank are a coral goby or two and some nice softies :good:

cool :good: Looking forward to watching this one, if its half as nice as your other one its going to be amazing.

lol dont mention dori, my other half keeps pestering me because she wants a dori to go in the tank with nemo. Not such a bad thing because she also understands that they need a bigger tank but now I'm trying to find a good 5-6ft tank for under £300 (not so easy!).

You going to go for another ric garden in here or do you have some other softies in mind?

if i ever did a pico/nano (cant remember the cut of mark) i would keep zoas, about 4 or 5 of different colours. but that would be hard over here seeing as we get all the crap ones

I would like a few rics and also am going to frag some of my lovely zoas Barney. I have a nice mushie rock I may pop in there too (the one with the velvet green mushies on) and maybe a bit of my pulsing xenia. Of course, that means i'll be creating more space in my other tank  The light is really bright so hopefully it will be just right for them.

jennys hooked
essum

Credit crunch, what credit crunch!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey gimme a break...I did shut down my glowing blue cube tank to set this up so i still 'only' have 7 tanks running

oh, that would look just right on my desk at school :good:

Was it a good price Jenny?

The tank with a filter, light, backing and insulating mat (plus a few bits for keeping shrimp in the tank) was £32.99 Seffie. The heater was extra but has an anti overheating device on it :D I can pm you where I got it from if we're not allowed to mention LFS on here :D

I'm going to be putting more rock in and then it will be home to a pair of coral gobies :D

Wow, that sounds a really good price - yes please let me know where you got it from

No life springing forth from the rock yet - well nothing nasty anyway  What's taking it so long? ;)

Tests tonight. I'm pleased to report the korali is reasonably quiet and if I don't have that on, the filter is completely silent which bodes well for good sleep. Mind you I am so excited about having a tank by my bed again that I keep waking up to make sure it's all working ok

Just thinking about the filter...if I could get away with just that and not the korali I would, but it's not really strong enough to do anything other than move the surface beautifully, thanks to the spray bar that's under the surface pointing up :)

Would it be a good idea to keep that running with a little floss and/or just something like purigen/rowphos or such?

I will be doing weekly water changes (or smaller more frequent changes if that's better?) and am monitoring the water evaporation too.

I may try the stock pump from the DD instead of the korali as it would mean I could hide it behind the rock eventually and keep the internal filter as the surface agitator.

What do you think? :D

The heater already hides quite nicely behind the rock and I can feed the power cable behind the corner filter quite nicely.

I love the little tank, i would also like to know where you got it from, i may even get one myself if its that cheap, i will be watching closely to see how you get on with this and will proberly end up copying you  Is the lighting good enough for coral?
