I think I may have seen the light........
Im thinking on doing a natural tank......
Can someone give me some suggestions. I want to have a natural look to it but have one
or two ornaments in the tank. Depending on how I get paid, I may be able to hook this crapy tank into
something good. Id also like some fish suggestions

This is my tank now, The blue gravel may have to stay cause I have no place for it and it would be a
waste if I through it away.

Yeah, I need a background bad....
Also, I dont have eanything to do with the gravel I have,,, If I just throw it away it would be a waste.

Don't feel bad about throwing away gravel. I threw away the gravel from my 29g.. well actually my dad dug a hole and buried it because it was pretty heavy.

What colors would you suggest?
Also, the natural look Im looking for it the kind you kinda see with cichlids. With all sorts of rock with holes and then a couple of hiding ornaments.

natural gravel is all different colours but not anything bright like blue or pink.

you can get plain black which looks quite good too but not very natural.

if its a community tank then they wont really appreciate loads of rocks like an african tank.

you see them in african cichlid tanks cos the lil buggers are pretty aggressive and so the weaker ones get plenty of places to hide.

Also, Ive been thinking of getting cichlids but I dont know which to get, eany suggestions???
More than half of my gourami's have died and I need new fish.
I dont want cichlids that get big and I dont really like the african cichlids.

To add to the Idea, I know Ill have a ship.... Not sure on wich though.... Im thinking about having the titanic in the tank... It wouldnt be all that bad looking, but then agin, Im not a big fan of the titanic, maybe if it had more of a rotten color to it....

Bahh... No ship. Just all real and natural. Go out and find some rocks (maybe by a stream or from a lake) and use those as decorations! Then add some plants (real or fake). I prefer fake because I don't have much time to tend to my tank. And maybe if you have room some small tera cotta pots (sp?) for hiding holes. No ornaments or any of that hogwash.

Don't feel bad about throwing away the gravel. Maybe put it a container and save it for another project (betta's maybe?).

Thanks for the suggustion..... I really feal that I can do it....
Only thing with the ship is that I grew up with them and I like them alot....
But I know where your coming from.

Are you gonna post an 'after' pic when you've re-done it?? How about some tall grass plants around the back to give the decor some height?? x
