If it's in direct sunlight it could get to hot. And the algae is a nightmare.

it will get to hot, but on the other hand, algae will grow very well

Can you close the blinds or drapes to keep out some of the sunlight? I personally like having a nice planted aquarium in a window. If you clean the glass during water changes, it controls some of the algae.
