Tank Heater.

Hi all,
My Jewel rio 240 litre has a 200 watt heater in it.Is this enough for the tank ?
I am not going to use the filter that comes with it as it only pumps 600l/h.
I have an external filter that is 1000 l/h instead.will the 200watt heater be enough for this tank.It is a jewel heater.
Would i be better to get two 200 watt heaters for the tank one for each end or will one be ok.
I have spent lots of money alreadyon the tank so if one is ok i will just stay with one.

I would say a 200W heater would be fine for this tank, the filter also produces some heat plus the lighting if you have any, just keep an eye on the temp on the thermometer to make sure it is within the range that is needed for the particular fish you have got.

It is going to have , High-Lite Light Unit 120 cm, 2 x 54 W lights in it so it will.
going to have tiger barbs and some tetras neon and rummie nose and zebra dianos. so will have it around 25 or 26 c

My rio 240 has the heater that came with it and it's always done fine at heating the tank.
