Tank decoration

I have found some old plant pots in my shed which i thought would make great hiding places for my fish.

Would these plant pots affect the water in any negative way

A lot of people use the red terracotta clay type plant pots in their tanks. They do indeed make useful shelter and spawning caves. The watch word is "clean". What you need to consider is have insecticides and other nasties been used on them? You need to be able to answer "no" or you need to soak and scrub, soak and scrub, soak and..........

if they have been used for plants probably not, because they may have chemicals in them. 8)
