i have a 10 gallon tank with 4 neon tetras and 6 ghost shrimp. i used to have balloon mollies in there with them but now they are dead. for a long time i just kept on the the neons maybe like 6 months or so but now i want to put in balloon mollies could the mixture of neons and balloon mollies be killing the balloon mollies from before?

Make sure you don't overstock the tank. Balloon mollies and neon tetras would be fine. Neons don't kill anything.

They won't kill each other. But they do have different tastes in water conditions.

Tetras prefer soft water whereas Mollys prefer very hard water. Mollys can be a bit sickly in soft water.

What's your water hardness?
