This might sound like a dumb question, here it goes.

Lets say I have a tank with allot of plants and some bogwood. Is there a method to clean the gravel with out having to remove everything to use the gravel vac?

speaking of gravel vacs ,, when i use mine it has to be positioned with the bag underwater and it creates a very cloudy tank.
is this normal??
thanks

I'd say just go up to the object as far as you can go and sython as much as you can around it

I just get as close to objects as possible. Rocks, I don't move at all . Wood is moved every several months to get under it. I don't take it right out, just move it slightly. I only move one piece in a cleaning session and do it very slowly. A lot of crud collects under there and you can make a real mess if you're not careful.
