T5 lighting?

I have a twin T5 light on my reef tank and my grandparents have a twin T5 on there plant tank.

"T5" refers to the diameter (size) of the bulb. the normal tubees that most people use are T8's. they are 1".

T5's are high intensity bulbs, and although they are smaller than the normal T8's they are much better for things like plant and coral growth.

a lot of brands make t5's the best two in my oppinion are arcadia and deltec.

the bulbs come in a range of colours depending what type of organism you are trying to grow.

they are especialy good for marine fish keepers who want a reef tank but don't want to have a halide hanging above there tank.
