I don't care if I'm 5 years younger, doesn't mean you have any place in my thread. One fish will stay as long as he lives. However he is a very very old fish, already broken the average length for the fish of his species, and has been through a hard life. The point of the bass is to feed them until they are large enough to be killed for consumption. In case you didn't know, because you have the mental capacity of a squirrel. The comment was made that I might feel the effects 10 years later, if I'm not going to live 10 years, WHO CARES. I sure don't.if I was planned to be killed for food shortly I'd have no problems with it, not like I'm ever going to feel those effects anyway.
- never heard such bull!
Get out of my thread kiddo, you're out of your league.
You also stated that a fish will be staying for 10+ years, but hey maybe that one is immune, a super fish maybe?
I will not have these fish for 10 years, with the exception of a single fish.
Oh yeh and nice Kiddo comment, you are 5 years younger than I am according to your profile.
I get reported for having a difference in opinion in fish care? LOL! That is classic. A lot of people I've talked to don't have a single problem with what I'm doing. I bought 175g worth of filtration for 55g, I do water changes, I keep an outdoor pool for emergencies I don't have blatant disregard. Just a difference of opinion on cycling a tank before I get fish. These aren't tropicals they are hardy natives I'm weeding out weak fish so I have strong healthy specimen to get to a large state to be used for food.Thread and OP reported.
Blantant disregard for fish/es and there well being, aswell as rude to other members on the forum.... somethink that has occured more than once.
Isnt this a fish forum?, a forum where members are supoosed to actually like the fish they keep, rather than see them just as a food source and think that it's ok to subject them to unsuitable conditions.
I will always be rude if someone else is first. If you don't have something remotely intelligent to put in MY thread, I will respond as such.
Yes it is a fish forum, yes I like my fish. Doesn't change the fact that I can't actually keep these fish forever, and they can't be released. I fish for food, just like a ton of people do. I just chose a select few strong specimen to keep in a home aquarium for awhile until they are larger. Your feeder minnow at petco has no more value than any other fish.
Unsuitable conditions? You are saying that my water changes, filtration and whatnot is unsuitable? How about the fact I'm taking them out of a pond literally polluted, infested with parasites and diseases. Hell just yesterday I pulled out another fish with septicemia. Surely going from that to my tank where they are treated and fed well is unsuitable. Just because the ammonia happens to rise up to 1-2 ppm now and then obviously means I'm a bad keeper.
It isn't like I don't water change or anything.
Jen stay out of my threads, I will ask once, nicely, I would eat my own foot before taking any sort of advice or listening to you.
