so im sitting herer entertaining the new betta who just seems to constantly be wanting attention i gaze over to the other tank......T only trouble is the albino is stil pretty small and i would of considered to young but they stayed there for about 5 minutes eventually the albino shot up to the surface fo air but the bronze one didnt move for a further 10 minutes breathing faster than normal, the bronze one in question seems alot fuller than the other

should i be on the look out for eggs or was it pure coincedence they were resting like that ?

the albinos are just over an inch not including tail

ooh and what do the eggs look like so i spot them before the fish do

ooooooh and excuse the minnows they think there catfish :X

Generally when the corys T, the being T'd tends to bow their body towards the other and jitter a bit. They don't do it for 5 minutes, just a few seconds. If anything was received, the female would then tilt slightly to one side and deposit eggs into her fin basket, and then fertilize them with what she's just received

They might have just been resting in that position, and from what you said, the albino does sound a little small. Also you said the bronze looked fuller, indicating it might be female. Male corys do tend to rub their barbels on the females bellys to stimulate them for breeding, so this might be the case. :D

Some bronze eggs

Edit
The little white bits on the eggs are sand, because the female kept darting around on the floor of the tank before laying those eggs.

cory's will willing spawn in a community tank, my bronze's spawn 3 times, before they randomy passed away last week.

sory to hear about the loss

did you get anything from the spawn?

nothing from first, 3 from the third which died, and from the third I had 63 hatch, but none lasted more than 2 weeks. I was gutted, I'm not sure what I did wrong. but the fry are ment to become stronger (or so I'm told) as they go. So the next spawn would have been good and prob had a load survive, BUT they kicked the bucket, just as the female was filling out again, and getting ready for a new spawn.
