Ive bred livebearers before (guppies) and Ive deceided to breed Swordtails, what are the chances of the fry being eaten in a community tank? All the fish in the tank are quite samll, the largest I have are small Angels.

Its just I tried moving the pregnant female and she looked soo stressed out that I thought she might abort so I decided just to let her stay in the tank.

Can the fry survive?

If your tank is extremely well planted, it's possible that a few of the strongest fry could survive, but with angels in the tank, I wouldn't count on it.

Thanx, Yeah i have decided to invest in a clear sheet of plastic, with lots of holes in it to partition of a section of the tank and hopefully the female will not be too stressed out in there and will keep the fry safe.

If you can I would actually get a breeding tank. This gives the fry better conditions and I find they grow faster ;)
