i woke up this morning to discover that my white spotted eel got hungry during the night, and decided to eat my sunset wrasse. she was the most beautiful fish in the tank. i know it was the eel because it had a large bulge in it's belly strangley similar the the size the wrasse used to be. i now must decide if i want to keep this eel, (who has gotten very aggresive as of lately), or part with the eel and begin looking for a new wrasse. a very sad day indeed. :(

:( That is not good at all. Gives you that sick feeling in your stomach  when something happens to your favorite, I'm sure. I love the wrasses, I think they are shaping up to be my favorite, planning to put a Scott's Fairy Wrasse in my tank, but I'm still in Week 6 of cycling, so not yet. Hopefully, you can find another and yeah, I think the eel would be out the door!

Re house the eel, once it gets a taste for your livestock it will probably try it again. You only other choice is to feed it more but then you are going to put considerable strain on the bioload :*)

yeah, it might be time to get him out.
my favorite fish is also a wrasse- my twin-spot wrasse, and luckily
there is nothing in the tank that can eat him!

I thought that the sunset wrasse was very agressive and a carnivor, so wouldn't that mean that the sunset wrasse would be able to protect itself againsed the eel? of course it deos depend on weather the susnset wrasse was big or small and same with the eel....sorry im asking alot of questions its just because i love sunset wrasse the of beutiful creatures and i am studying them for a project, anyway im really sorry for what happend to yours :-( i hope u find another one just as pretty as her!
