Due to the arrangement of my 40 litre tank, I have dropped my original plan to have pygmy corydoras. However, this leaves me with a vacancy for another nice fish to go in the tank instead! Current occupants are:
Black Phantom Tetras
A reasonable number of plants
Gravel
A piece of attractive driftwood
A sort of cave type ornament.
I had considered a dwarf gourami when the tank was a little more mature, but from all I have read I am now concerned that it will automatically drop dead within weeks. I was not sure if a betta would get on with the tetras since they do wave their fins about and might send the betta psycho. I'm not choosy about whether the new fish occupies the top/middle/bottom of the tank, as long as it can be friends with the tetras. Any ideas?
