Stray Cat

im just worried they would accuse me of steeling the cat. i did go down and speak to the women and just said he has been sleeping in my back yard and that my cat is realy fussy when it comes to food n if she doesnt want what i give her if i can give it to her cat, then i cant be accused of trying to steel it cause i asked. but with what i said about the cat she didnt realy care. im goin to go to the vet and get it some worming stuff before i let it in the house. so i will gradualy introduce it to the inside of the house in case it isnt fully toilet trained. but i was thinking if he is just inside at night then if he wants he can go down visiting thru they day and they will b none the wise, not like they have seen the cat in the past few weeks anyways. i also have my cat to think about, they get along, but them thru the day she will have some peace and quiet all to herself. i think the drunk people were more abusive to the cat cause if he gets alot of attention or not as much as he wants he nips abit. other than a few scabs he looks healthy, no fleas or lumps or anything that looks alarming, tho i will deffinantly take him to the vet for a check up and whatever needles he might need. he is very affectionate, and comes when you call him, as i said in my last post i have named him Simba and he knows that name now. i did buy a colar but i wont put it on him for a while, atleast until these people have seemed to have forgotton about him, wich by the look of it wont take to long. tho i will give it a while and go down and see her again and just that any time she doesnt want the cat to please let me know first.
thanx everyone for you help, and i will keep you updated on how everything goes, Catherine i dont have any pics of the cat yet but i will get some soon, he looks like the courdley lion of the wizard of oz, just not so dark in colour, he is naturaly a large cat, alot bigger than most small dogs, and a very heavy build, but still very skinny. Kiwifish, is that the cat in ur desplay pic? he is very beautiful, you are very lucky, i would be proud to.
Thanx again for all you help, Vamp.

I suggest you just keep the poor thing. If they treat him so badly, odds are they won't care if they don't see him anymore. Kiwi's idea seems excellent too (about the vet bill).

yea i am pretty much just taking him, but giving him the freedom thru the day. im not at all happy with how they have treated him, he just gets exited when he gets all that attention, doesnt give anyone the right to kick the poor thing.

wow he is beautiful , sorry to hear of you loss.
looks almost like Simba but lighter in colour.
Simba was wormd and let in the house for abit, the two cats ( my cat, Sassy, is female also desexed, 3/4 persian, and a honey aprecott colour and white) sat and looked at eachother for a while, they had never realy been that close before, it had been a good 10 mins before simba pounced for her claws out and snarling, before he cauld get to her i grabed him and out he went. i do think in some time they will be fine together, but thats what they need is time, short meetings and than out again. as i said in my last post i have my cat to think about, and its realy up to her if he can stay in the house. she was fine with it it was him that wasnt to sure, thought it was a little rude as he was her guest and all :/

cats don't really think like humans. they are just testing each other out and see which one is the dominant one. they will fight until one of them give way. to ease simba in to the pack, have him on your lap while let your other cats into the room, this will create less frictions between them as your cats will begin to accept another cat present. and don't feed them at the same place as they will fight for food and this create more reasons for your cat to push out the new one.

he gets fed out side, her in side. He attacked her again in the back yard this morning, she ran away with him chasing her. it will take time, tho what you suggested sounds like a good idea, might give it a few days for my cat to settle down then try again.
