Stop The Name Questions!

Don't forget Elmo, Chilli or Pablo - the names of recent and past bettas of mine ;)

Speaking of the name 'Sushi' - I did actually once have one called that

Torso is a great name. If I get a third goldfish, "Torso" will fit in with the similarly poorly-named Pants and Speak. As it is, my betta is The Lord DarqueHart, Eater of Souls, because bettas require pretentious titles.

Another idea is trying a themed tank- for instance my beta tank is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Themed. My Betta is spike and my 2 gold mystery snails are Cordelia and Xander....not that I can really tell them apart...

My bettas names were Ghost, Spook, and Captain Cato.

Ghost and Spook were both white bettas.
Captain Cato was red and blue and had white fin tips, like the American Flag hence Captain America but we (We being my friend and I, who bought the fish together) both liked Cato from the Hunger Games so we named him a combination of both, thus Captain Cato being born! xD

We changed his name like... five times before we settled on Captain Cato.

My daughter named hers Escaper due to the fact he got in to her brothers "Diego's" side of the tank. Then when I tried to get Escaper out safe and sound he kept getting out of the net lol.

Names of Bettas that I has had..

Gobbles
Ginsue
Konna
Buckwheat

Has one now, yet he is not named.

May as well add mine too

I have a running theme with my betta- most of them are named after Norse gods (well, the males are anyway). So far there has been:

Thor,
Tyr,
Heimdell (my current male), etc.
Freya

There's been a few that haven't been Norse themed too:
Seaweed
Nimah
Aurora (typical betta name)
Eir
etc.

Well sadly Oscar died of dropsy in October :'(

But I have a new betta called Louis! :p

Rookie mistake. You should never provoke the betta people. They are an unstable bunch.

:hyper:

:hey:

Yup. Males usually fight to the death if they meet each other and keeping females together should be done with caution. Same goes for the fish :p

I would have called my new Betta Finnick if I hadn't already named my other one Alexander, so I called him Hephaestion instead. Captin Cato is a great name, now you need to get him a female with a bad attitude and call her Clove LOL.
